TRUSTED IN TENNESSEE SINCE 1932
Why Choose Wallace for Custom & Specialty Trailers?
Specialty trailers are not off-the-shelf purchases. The right unit depends on how many people it serves, where it will be parked, and what power and water it can rely on. We have been helping Tennessee crews, contractors, and event operators answer those questions since 1932, and we carry specialty builds from Elkhart Trailer Company, Cell-Tech Trailers, and Wells Cargo.
Built to Your Spec
Most specialty trailers are configured, not picked off a lot. Layout, fixtures, HVAC, power, tank sizes, and finishes can all be spec’d around how you plan to use the unit. Tell us the job and we work back from there.
Every Specialty Category
Bathroom and shower trailers, mobile kitchens, laundry units, office and studio trailers, bunkhouse and sleeper units, and emergency response builds — all from one dealer, with the same service department behind them.
Family Owned Since 1932
Wallace Trailers has been family owned and operated since 1932. That experience matters most on specialty units, where the wrong spec is an expensive thing to live with.

FAQ
Custom & Specialty Trailers — Frequently Asked Questions
What counts as a custom or specialty trailer?
Anything built for a specific job rather than general hauling — mobile bathroom and shower trailers, mobile kitchens, laundry units, office and studio trailers, bunkhouse and sleeper units, and emergency response builds. We carry specialty units from Elkhart Trailer Company, Cell-Tech Trailers, and Wells Cargo. Use the Manufacturer filter on the listings above to see which brands are represented in current stock.
Can you build a trailer to my exact specification?
In most cases, yes. Layout, fixtures, HVAC, generator and shore power, tank capacities, and exterior finish are all configurable on specialty builds. Call 615-794-9545 with the job you need it for and we will work back from there to a spec that fits.
How long does a custom trailer take to build?
Longer than a stock trailer. Configured units are built to order, so lead time depends on the manufacturer’s queue and how far the spec departs from a standard model. Start the conversation as early as you can, especially if the unit has to be ready for a specific event or season.
Do specialty trailers need special hookups?
It depends on the unit. Some run self-contained on onboard tanks and a generator; others expect shore power, a water supply, and a sewer or holding-tank connection. Tell us where the trailer will be parked and we will make sure the spec matches the site.
Do you rent specialty trailers as well as sell them?
We rent select units — refrigerated and freezer trailers are the most common. For other specialty categories, ask us what is available.
Do you service specialty trailers after the sale?
We do. Our in-house service department handles maintenance and repairs, brakes, bearings, lighting, and parts, plus the plumbing and electrical systems on specialty builds. Delivery is available across the region. We are at 1440 TN-96, Burns, TN 37029, open Monday–Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
